The Sixth Annual Utah Bike Summit brings together bicycle users, bicycle and trail advocates, representatives from our bike industries, cycling event promoters, city planners, representatives from Utah’s tourism industry, local and state government officials with one common goal, to promote biking in Utah. This year’s summit focus is Utah - Bike Friendly. Many agencies, organizations, and individuals are working towards making Utah the most bicycle friendly state in the country. Find out what has been accomplished, network with others who are moving efforts along, and find out what you can do to keep us rolling towards #1.
This year's keynote speakers is Sarai Snyder, founder of the women's cycling blog Girl Bike Love and the global CycloFemme ride. In 2013, CycloFemme had 229 registered rides in 31 countries. Both of these efforts seek to empower the future of women in cycling. Sarai also sits on the Women Bike Advisory Board for the League of American Bicyclists.
Salt Lake City Mayor Ralph Becker, Ogden Mayor Mike Caldwell, and Provo Mayor John Curtis will all be speaking at this year's Bike Summit. Other confirmed presenters include representatives from the National Parks Service, UDOT, Wasatch Front Regional Council, Cache Municipal Planning Organization, Salt Lake County, Salt Lake City, Ogden City, St. George City, Visit Salt Lake, Alta Planning + Design, The Salt Lake City Bicycle Collective, The Southern Utah Bicycle Alliance, the University of Utah, and the list keeps growing.
